Do any of those three sound like something you would like to eat? I think not. The first was the ingredient list of a Weight Watchers frozen dinner. The second was a Lean Cuisine frozen dinner and the third was a Healthy Choice frozen dinner. MANY people truly believe these are wonderful healthy meals and eat them daily.

That is something that I am willing to bet almost 100% of you have eaten or given your kids to eat this week even. Those are the ingredients in McDonalds chicken nuggets.
This leads me to ponder several questions which I will let you ponder as well. Once you ponder these questions, you will likely have a better understanding of why we are becoming one of the most obese countries on the planet and why over 1/3 of adults in this country are obese. You will also see why so many of our kids are growing up obese as well.

WHEN DID WE DECIDE THAT EATING MASSIVE QUANTITIES OF FOOD SHOULD BE A SPORT AND SOMETHING TO DEVELOP CONTESTS AND TV SHOWS AROUND?

MORE IMPORTANTLY, WHY WOULD THEY NOT EAT THAT?
WHY IS FIGHTING OBESITY NOT AS IMPORTANT AS FIGHTING CANCER AND HIV TO SO MANY?

If after reading this, you still have to ask how we got to be so obese as a nation, then maybe you need to read again. Don’t you agree with me that it is time to change our thinking and priorities before it is too late? We did this in our home and went from being a family who had one morbidly obese parent and one child addicted to video games four years ago to now having one parent who lost 130 lbs and is a personal trainer and one parent who is a personal fitness chef and two kids who are leading cross-country runners.
Both parents are also now avid half-marathoners. WE BEAT OBESITY AND BROKE THE CYCLE IN OUR HOME. Will you do the same in yours?
